The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cirilo Peru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Lore in the 4th minute of the match. Haroldo Papo's late challenge caught a Matará's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Papo helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes 24 Horas got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Papo. Cirilo Peru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Cheche in the 7th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Cheche in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Peru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Genaro Iigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matará fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Emilio Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ramiro Lore hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The supporters of Matará booed when 24 Horas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Iraunkor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Peru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Cheche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Eyague didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sabahattin Arısal went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cirilo Peru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Iigo in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Matará's Rolando Austin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cirilo Peru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 38 minutes of play, Matará's Constantino Bartolome made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cirilo Peru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wellington Almeida's late challenge caught a Matará's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wellington Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. Wellington Almeida hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Fabricio Tercero lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in 24 Horas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Matará. Genaro Iigo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cirilo Peru. 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wellington Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes 24 Horas got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Papo. Eriberto Cheche scored 1-5 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Peru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69thth minute of the game Eriberto Cheche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 24 Horas's Cirilo Peru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Constantino Bartolome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Peru having to interfere. After some careless play in the 24 Horas defense, Eriberto Cheche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Peru. The 24 Horas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Peru should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Matará getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Damian Cordarius hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Constantino Bartolome sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cirilo Peru skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Matará booed when 24 Horas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Tuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Matará's goalkeeper Emilio Eyague, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes 24 Horas got a freekick which was hit by Martin Tuste.
