Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Miraflores FC's Anacleto Odon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, one of Medellín:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Medellín. Pedro Laurentzi went to the wrong direction when Natalio Taurino was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Medellín's Hugo Garikoitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Rey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Miraflores FC's Natalio Taurino tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Miraflores FC booed when Medellín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Gitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Jurgi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Rey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Hugo Garikoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medellín's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Garikoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Rey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28thth minute of the game Anacleto Odon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medellín's Pedro Laurentzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uriel Dolfos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Miraflores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Jurgi came free, but Osvaldo Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Mateo Jurgi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateo Jurgi to strike the kick off in the second half. Mateo Jurgi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Osvaldo Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Miraflores FC's Gaston Pelagius got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Miraflores FC's zone, Mateo Jurgi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Rey came out of the goal and Mateo Jurgi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 minutes of play, Medellín's Hugo Garikoitz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Rey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miraflores FC's Osvaldo Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Jurgi in the 70th minute of play. Osvaldo Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Jurgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Medellín defense, Uriel Dolfos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Laurentzi. The Medellín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Laurentzi should have stopped the shot. Osvaldo Rey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Garikoitz in the 84th minute. Hugo Garikoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Osvaldo Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Rey came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Medellín's Mateo Jurgi. But to his dismay, Mateo Jurgi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
