The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benito Edur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Cordara in the 6th minute of the match. When Ciudadela Club's Silvestre Cordara in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Simple Plan's players were relieved. After 25th play minutes Silvestre Cordara shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Benito Edur and just under the crossbar into goal. When Abel Lamberto fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simple Plan's protests and gave Abel Lamberto a yellow card for diving instead. Abel Lamberto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Benito Edur acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ruben Txartiko. 33 minutes into the match, Simple Plan's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Cordara came free, but Benito Edur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 34 in the game by Silvestre Cordara from a close distance when the talented Benito Edur managed to make a qualified save. Simple Plan's players were relieved. Benito Edur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvestre Cordara in the 38th minute. Erubiel Macias kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Txatxu in the 40th minute of play forced Ciudadela Club's goalkeeper Cirilo Ladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Edur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Cordara in the 44th minute of the match. Simple Plan's Benito Edur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Simple Plan from getting a goal against them. After 47 minutes of play Simple Plan's Abel Lamberto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 48th match minute, Simple Plan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Lamberto to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Cordara in the 49thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Edur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Emilio Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simple Plan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Txatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Edur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Ralondo in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Cordara in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Edur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 played minutes Ciudadela Club got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Etor. If Emilio Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Edur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Cordara's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Romeo Etor hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Emilio Txatxu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciudadela Club's Cirilo Ladio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Edur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Cordara's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After 85 minutes, Silvestre Cordara made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Simple Plan's Benito Edur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvestre Cordara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Edur having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the Ciudadela Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
