Herminio Tello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute Guaberto Eutropio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Tello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Benat in the 14th minute of the match. Herminio Tello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nunez Benat, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Marucho's Ciriaco Sazon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herminio Tello was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Emanuele Combi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 played minutes Foyel FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Combi. Nunez Benat scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herminio Tello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Herminio Tello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nunez Benat's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 38 played minutes Foyel FC got a freekick which was hit by Akis Abaris. In the 41st minute Nunez Benat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Benat in the 42nd minute of play forced Foyel FC's goalkeeper Herminio Tello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Foyel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Eutropio came free, but Herminio Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Foyel FC defense, Guaberto Eutropio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herminio Tello. The Foyel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herminio Tello should have stopped the shot. After the first half Marucho were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Guaberto Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. David Bidari was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Foyel FC's goalkeeper Herminio Tello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guaberto Eutropio. Foyel FC's Herminio Tello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Foyel FC from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Foyel FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Denis Shtyrev was slow to take the kick. During this time Marucho's players had a chance to rest. A throw-in in the 67th minute of the game was made by Akis Abaris with David Bidari as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some careless play in the Marucho defense, Cristian Figueroa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronnie Hellström. The Marucho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronnie Hellström should have stopped the shot. Herminio Tello made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Nunez Benat sent off a good shot on target. David Bidari, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Marucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Eutropio to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Marucho's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Figueroa came free, but Ronnie Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Marucho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
