But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Vistruario couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Bartoli in the 15th minute of play forced Tiaguas AFC's goalkeeper Severino Santxol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Aldo Urtungo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Felo. Pirañas Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Urtungo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Ambrosio Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguas AFC's Severino Santxol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Frasco in the 31st minute of play. Benedicto Bartoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Severino Santxol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Tebaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergio Tebaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, one of Tiaguas AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tiaguas AFC. The Pirañas Futbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tiaguas AFC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Vistruario made a kick off. A collision led to Tiaguas AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sergio Tebaldo hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Aldo Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Pirañas Futbol Club's Marcos Vistruario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Santxol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pirañas Futbol Club's zone, Saul Montay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Felo came out of the goal and Saul Montay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 79 minutes of play, Tiaguas AFC's Emilio Azubeli made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Felo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 minutes of play, Pirañas Futbol Club's Marcos Vistruario made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Santxol was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Tiaguas AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
