Nereo Lazcano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Sustrai went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Manantiales's Zeledon Padro got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Feliciano Savier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Padro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Coca having to interfere. Manantiales's Nereo Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Sustrai in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Lucio Sustrai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nereo Lazcano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Sustrai to make the kick off.
