In the 8th minute Leon Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Luix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, FIFA's Benjamin Boni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Urko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matias Luix made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Nestor Rufo sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Leon Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Luix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hernan Oinaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Urko was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Hernan Oinaz struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Luis Urko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FIFA. Luis Urko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Boni in the 28th minute of the match. Luciano Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Bermudez in the 37th minute of play forced FIFA's goalkeeper Matias Luix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Neto hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Luis Urko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Boni in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Silvestre Elizardo hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Benjamin Boni struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Luis Urko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FIFA. Luis Urko was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Benjamin Boni capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benjamin Boni really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Matias Luix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. River Plate's Luis Urko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Boni in the 64th minute of play. Hernan Oinaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Urko having to make a save. In the 66th of the match, Benjamin Boni tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Luis Urko got in the way and made a wonderful save. Matias Luix stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon Bermudez's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Artemio Ayala charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artemio Ayala the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artemio Ayala kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Hernan Oinaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Urko. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Oinaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Leon Bermudez scored 1-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Luix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Boni in the 86th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Luis Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Leon Bermudez. Benjamin Boni might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Urko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Boni ran back to his position shaking his head. FIFA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
