Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zeledon Chucho kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Austral FC's zone, Saul Nicholas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Indar came out of the goal and Saul Nicholas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Redonda AFC booed when Austral FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Redonda AFC defense, Aureliano Jatsu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristides Haimar. The Redonda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristides Haimar should have stopped the shot. Maximino Indar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Nicholas in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Saul Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Indar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Furman in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Redonda AFC's Gilberto Afonso got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Aureliano Jatsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aristides Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Redonda AFC's Virgilio Marin got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorio Larra to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Chucho in the 52nd minute of play forced Redonda AFC's goalkeeper Aristides Haimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Zeledon Chucho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Austral FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Chucho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristides Haimar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Aureliano Jatsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Haimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Chucho in the 66th minute of play forced Redonda AFC's goalkeeper Aristides Haimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes of play, Austral FC's Aureliano Jatsu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aristides Haimar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 71 played minutes Austral FC got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Ortle. If Saul Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Redonda AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gilberto Afonso hit a great ball. If Saul Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Domingos Sesuldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Aristides Haimar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximino Indar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Soin in the 92nd minute of play. Zeledon Chucho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Austral FC were the better team. Austral FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
