Barjas FC's João da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Barjas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Naldo came free, but Zeledon Cibran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Maathai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Frederik having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Barjas FC's David Maathai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Frederik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute, David Maathai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonso Frederik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Celso Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Frederik having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, David Maathai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barjas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Maathai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 97 minutes into the game, David Maathai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Alfonso Frederik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
