In the 3rd match minute, Juadajo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Faro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Juadajo getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ermegildo Euloxu hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Gervasio Dayam successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Juadajo's Ciriaco Faro got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Juadajo's goalkeeper Gervasio Dayam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Bartuelo. Evelio Nesor scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesus Luke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Juadajo's goalkeeper Gervasio Dayam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Bartuelo. Juadajo's Evelio Nesor got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Buena Vista Social Club booed when Juadajo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Romelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buena Vista Social Club's Marcelino Bartuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Ciriaco Faro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juadajo and the Buena Vista Social Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Buena Vista Social Club booed when Juadajo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Buena Vista Social Club's Juan Raúl Riquelme tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raul Oalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Dayam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Oalo ran back to his position shaking his head. Gervasio Dayam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Oalo in the 37th minute of play. When Marcelino Bartuelo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Buena Vista Social Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Bartuelo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Marcelino Bartuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buena Vista Social Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Bartuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Dayam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Romelio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Generoso Vermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervasio Dayam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Oalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Buena Vista Social Club's Raul Oalo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gervasio Dayam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Oalo in the 63rd minute of the match. When Ermegildo Euloxu fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juadajo's protests and gave Ermegildo Euloxu a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Juadajo got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Euloxu. Juan Raúl Riquelme, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Buena Vista Social Club's Raul Oalo got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Juadajo's zone, Raul Oalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Dayam came out of the goal and Raul Oalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelino Bartuelo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Dayam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raul Oalo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervasio Dayam having to make a save. Buena Vista Social Club's attack was well implemented in the 85th minute, but when Marcelino Bartuelo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 87th minute, Marcelino Bartuelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Dayam was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Romeo Camerino lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 91st minute, one of Buena Vista Social Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buena Vista Social Club. After a rather tough play, Buena Vista Social Club's Freddy Musko got a free kick in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Buena Vista Social Club were the better team. Buena Vista Social Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
