Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laureano Bernard took the kick off in the first half of the match. Poetas del Césped FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Raul Oalo scored to the left of an out of position Clemente Chan, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Buena Vista Social Club's zone, Laureano Bernard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Luke came out of the goal and Laureano Bernard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laureano Bernard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesus Luke having to make a save. After 14 minutes of play, Poetas del Césped FC's Arturo Honrio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesus Luke was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clemente Chan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Oalo in the 17th minute of the match. Marcelino Bartuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Chan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Oalo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Raul Oalo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clemente Chan, 3-1. 43 minutes into the match, Poetas del Césped FC's Arturo Honrio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Luke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laureano Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raul Oalo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laureano Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laureano Bernard struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Jesus Luke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poetas del Césped FC. After a rather tough play, Buena Vista Social Club's Baldomero Admon got a free kick in the 56th minute. Laureano Bernard got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jesus Luke handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Laureano Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Poetas del Césped FC booed when Buena Vista Social Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Admon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Oalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Laureano Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcelino Bartuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcelino Bartuelo struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Clemente Chan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buena Vista Social Club. Laureano Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fabio Ruy fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poetas del Césped FC's protests and gave Fabio Ruy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Poetas del Césped FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Fabio Ruy hit a great ball. Buena Vista Social Club's Jesus Luke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Buena Vista Social Club from getting a goal against them. In the 98th minute, Raul Oalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buena Vista Social Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Poetas del Césped FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
