Ubaldo Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Lizer, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ubaldo Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Lizer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Skoglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 21 minutes, Severo Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alegre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Lizer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonardo Skoglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Samuel Igon came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Regina C. A. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Igon couldn't finish the play. After 31 minutes of play, Regina C. A.'s Leonardo Skoglund made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severiano Chuse was left in no man's land by his defense there! A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Ciceron didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes, Turgay Acun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Regina C. A. and the Alegre FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half Regina C. A. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute of the match Americo Maiorga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severiano Chuse skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Regina C. A. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Samuel Igon hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Dante Oxel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alegre FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Ciceron during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Samuel Igon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aldo Hunfredo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Leonardo Skoglund came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Regina C. A. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Skoglund couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Regina C. A.'s Leonardo Skoglund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severiano Chuse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the match, Leonardo Skoglund got a very nice opportunity to score, but Severiano Chuse was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leonardo Skoglund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Igon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Severiano Chuse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Damian Norino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Dante Oxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
