Bem Simmons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Marin, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 9 played minutes Leonel Marin rounded Del Signo FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Roberts's Leonel Marin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bem Simmons narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Roberts's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio George came free, but Amancio Bazkoare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Roberts's zone, Victoriano Ourente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Bazkoare came out of the goal and Victoriano Ourente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Del Signo FC's Matias Llin pulled a muscle in his back after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jonathan Beturian's late challenge caught a Del Signo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Beturian helped the player get up and apologised. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Victoriano Ourente sped through Roberts's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amancio Bazkoare. After a rather tough play, Roberts's Feliberto Leheren got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Leonel Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bem Simmons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Marin might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bem Simmons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Marin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Leonel Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bem Simmons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Leheren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bem Simmons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bem Simmons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Marin in the 36th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Feliberto Leheren sped through Del Signo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bem Simmons. Bem Simmons made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Feliberto Leheren sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Del Signo FC. Roberto Orzaize stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amancio Bazkoare. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victoriano Ourente was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Luar during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Del Signo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Luar to maneuver through the defense. Bem Simmons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Leheren in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Juan Eyague managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roberts's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Eyague was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bem Simmons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Leheren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bem Simmons was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Feliberto Leheren hit a great ball. The supporters of Del Signo FC booed when Roberts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Matai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Orzaize took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amancio Bazkoare. Roberts's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Ourente got free with Amancio Bazkoare in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Feliberto Leheren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roberts's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliberto Leheren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bem Simmons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Feliberto Leheren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bem Simmons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Leheren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bem Simmons having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Roberts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Beturian to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes of play, Roberts's Feliberto Leheren made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bem Simmons was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Roberts had won after a very even match.
