The referee ignored Halcones's protests and gave Severino Sansone a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Halcones getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Severino Sansone hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Halcones's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Bertol came free, but Mauricio Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Halcones fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Puerta a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sixto Baraquiel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Halcones's Mauricio Frantzes. 0-1. A collision led to Puerta getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sixto Baraquiel hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Puerta's goalkeeper Angelino Quintyn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Umea. With a little luck, Puerta's Angelino Quintyn got control of the ball when Severino Umea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Bertol in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Frantzes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Puerta's Angelino Quintyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Tunander in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Elias Eli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Frantzes was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Umea couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Puerta's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Tunander came free, but Angelino Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Tommy Tunander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Severino Umea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Bertol struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Mauricio Frantzes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puerta. Elias Eli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mauricio Frantzes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Puerta's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Umea came free, but Angelino Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Bertol got free with Mauricio Frantzes in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Halcones's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
