Rayo Platense's Blas Huly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Rayo Platense from getting a goal against them. Blas Huly came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Voluntad AFC's Teodosio Beturian. But to his dismay, Teodosio Beturian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mateo Barea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Blas Huly came out and tried to block the shot, but Mateo Barea slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 18th minute. Rayo Platense's attentive Aldo Pirro managed to snatch the ball when Jorge Muc made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. The supporters of Voluntad AFC booed when Rayo Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Udalaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elpidio Tartalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Viator in the 34th minute of play forced Voluntad AFC's goalkeeper Cesar Argider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Huly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Beturian, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 35th match minute, Rayo Platense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Viator to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Voluntad AFC's Froilan Dorio got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elpidio Tartalo was the one to do the kick off. Modesto Quilino hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Elpidio Tartalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Argider having to interfere. Cesar Argider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Tartalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Rayo Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Sidro came free, but Blas Huly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Ritchie in the 68th minute of play forced Rayo Platense's goalkeeper Blas Huly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Elpidio Tartalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Rayo Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Beturian came free, but Blas Huly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Rayo Platense got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Viator. When Teodosio Beturian fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Voluntad AFC's protests and gave Teodosio Beturian a yellow card for diving instead. Teodosio Beturian kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Mateo Barea charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Barea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mateo Barea hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Elpidio Tartalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Tartalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Argider breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 89 minutes, Roberto Viator managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rayo Platense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Viator was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blas Huly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Sidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Blas Huly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Beturian in the 92nd minute of play.
