A wasted opportunity for Club Boca Juniors. 22 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Gerazan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice moves Janusz Gabis could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Ruben Gonzo however easily saved by the left post. Ulises George received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ruben Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emita's Ruben Gonzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Emita from getting a goal against them. The Club Boca Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Emita were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Janusz Gabis made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Chan during the 53rd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Gonzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Janusz Gabis in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Club Boca Juniors's Maximo Santiago got control of the ball when Mircea Ceausescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ulises George came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises George couldn't finish the play. Club Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Mircea Ceausescu scored to the left of an out of position Maximo Santiago, making the score, 0-4. Hector Abaurre hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
