Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eloy Blanco kicked off to start the match. When Julian Etor came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the La Oreja de Holyfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Etor couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gualjaina's zone, Prudencio Lorien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Barto came out of the goal and Prudencio Lorien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norberto Barto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Diegotxe in the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cristobal Stephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualjaina's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Stephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Leizarraga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes La Oreja de Holyfield got a freekick which was hit by Lino Derwin. Filiberto Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Stephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Gualjaina's Norberto Barto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Diegotxe in the 22nd minute of play. Prudencio Lorien hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Zeledon Fonda fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. La Oreja de Holyfield's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Cristobal Stephen scored to the left of an out of position Filiberto Leizarraga, making the score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Gualjaina's Eloy Blanco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filiberto Leizarraga. That made the score 2-0 after 47 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saul Rivero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Leizarraga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Stephen went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Fausto Haritz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Haritz in the 59th minute of play forced La Oreja de Holyfield's goalkeeper Filiberto Leizarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Derwin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Eloy Blanco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gualjaina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eloy Blanco in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Leizarraga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Savier kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, La Oreja de Holyfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Selatse to maneuver through the defense. Filiberto Leizarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filiberto Leizarraga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Cisco in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Gualjaina got a corner. La Oreja de Holyfield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Francisco Cisco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of La Oreja de Holyfield booed when Gualjaina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Loramendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marcial Diegotxe fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Oreja de Holyfield's protests and gave Marcial Diegotxe a yellow card for diving instead. Filiberto Leizarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Gualjaina's Cristobal Stephen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filiberto Leizarraga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Fonda during the 87th minute.
