Albano Madaleno's late challenge caught a Hrsak FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Madaleno helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 minutes, Nicanor Txatxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hrsak FC and the Corrientes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hrsak FC's Nicanor Txatxu got a free kick in the 10th minute. With an all-out effort, Corrientes FC's Hernan Pacho threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Angel Corderall, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Angel Corderall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Feliciano Tavio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Feliciano Tavio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Corrientes FC booed when Hrsak FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Rosario didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Salvatore during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Hrsak FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Salvatore. Hernan Pacho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Corderall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Angel Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Pacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corrientes FC's Angel Corderall got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliciano Tavio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Salvatore hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hrsak FC's zone, Feliciano Tavio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Pacho came out of the goal and Feliciano Tavio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Hernan Pacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Corderall, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Feliciano Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Pacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Corderall in the 61st minute of play. Feliciano Tavio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernan Pacho having to make a save. Hrsak FC's Teodosio Atauri got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Jacinto Salvatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliciano Tavio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Pacho having to interfere. Corrientes FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
