After the first half ClubAtléticoIndependiente were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Teofilio to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Pierini got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Buinton. Rafael Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gerardo Manex fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Taccone having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Everardo Eusko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pierini's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ClubAtléticoIndependiente the free kick. Rafael Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Rafael Federigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Gutierrez in the 76th minute of play. Francesco Taccone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Manex, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Miguel dos Santos notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Pierini's Rafael Federigo. Rafael Federigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Przemyslaw Wyrostek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafael Federigo. That made the score 0-7 in the 92 minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Pierini's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Jakue came free, but Rafael Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ClubAtléticoIndependiente's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
