Remigio Leheren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gavilán AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Blasco in the 9th minute of play forced Gavilán AFC's goalkeeper Basilio Haritz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes Gavilán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Lehen. Geronimo Mateus succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 14th minute, Timoteo Eliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes Mailín got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Eliu. Nereo Panpili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Remigio Leheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adan Jerold charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adan Jerold the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adan Jerold hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gavilán AFC booed when Mailín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Salvador Hug shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remigio Leheren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Basilio Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Blasco in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Mailín's goalkeeper Remigio Leheren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Froilan Salbatore. 37 minutes into the match, Gavilán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Mateus came free, but Basilio Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Froilan Salbatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Haritz came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mailín's Edelmiro Blasco. But to his dismay, Edelmiro Blasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 57 played minutes Gavilán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Iratxo. In the 59thth minute of the game Geronimo Mateus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gavilán AFC's Basilio Haritz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Froilan Salbatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mailín's zone, Nereo Panpili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Leheren came out of the goal and Nereo Panpili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Timoteo Eliu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mailín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gavilán AFC the free kick. In the 66th minute, Timoteo Eliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Panpili, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mailín's zone, Froilan Salbatore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Leheren came out of the goal and Froilan Salbatore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigio Leheren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Froilan Salbatore's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Remigio Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Mateus in the 77th minute of play. Froilan Salbatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Remigio Leheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeo Cerilo charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeo Cerilo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mailín's Amadeo Cerilo got a free kick in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Froilan Salbatore notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mailín's Remigio Leheren. Remigio Leheren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 96 minutes of play, Gavilán AFC's Nereo Panpili made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remigio Leheren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
