Carlos Emesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Goi in the 12th minute of the match. Carlos Emesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Polo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dave Reijckmans came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the leonas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Reijckmans couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, Saladillo's Tadeo Goi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
