The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Rodero's Amadeo Errapel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amadeo Errapel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rodero protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amadeo Errapel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Amadeo Errapel hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Villa Leon f.c.'s Octavio Lluterio tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Rodero's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Gagriel came free, but Baltasar Porfirio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prudencio Gorbea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Isusko in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Villa Leon f.c.'s Abelardo Urti got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 15 minutes, Manuel Osoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Leon f.c. and the Rodero players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Villa Leon f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Osoro. 51 minutes into the game, Rodero's Feliciano Ibar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prudencio Gorbea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Prudencio Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Langendonck, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Silvano Gagriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Silvano Gagriel put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Baltasar Porfirio. Baltasar Porfirio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abelardo Urti in the 67th minute. Rodero's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
