Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hilario Bazil made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Gerardo Lluis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Etxepare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Castel came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Fortaleza's Hilario Bazil. But to his dismay, Hilario Bazil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Urtungo to maneuver through the defense. Sixto Castel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Kepa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Hilario Bazil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sixto Castel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fortaleza made a substitution. Godofredo Eneto replaced Mario Modestio. 21 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Celipe came free, but Sixto Castel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Castel made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Isidoro Mosen sent off a good shot on target. Isidoro Mosen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sixto Castel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tomás Arruta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Guaberto Ikatz made a precise shot to the right of Sixto Castel. Banfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Sixto Castel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Mosen in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Serafino Kepa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Bazil came free, but Sixto Castel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Castel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Ikatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Banfield's Sixto Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Celipe in the 57th minute of play. Sixto Castel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Mosen in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes, Albano Urtungo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Banfield and the Fortaleza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Albano Urtungo. Fortaleza made a substitution. Siro Isusko replaced Feliciano Celipe. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Albano Urtungo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Banfield's Sixto Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Bazil in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Hilario Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Castel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Albano Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Bazil in the 78th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Sixto Castel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Mosen came free, but Sixto Castel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Hilario Bazil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fortaleza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 86 minutes of play, Fortaleza's Hilario Bazil made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Castel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fortaleza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
