In the 9th minute Horacio Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Beremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Galindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaias Beremundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basilio Galindo ran back to his position shaking his head. Johnny Acosta came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Drakarys FC's Arnaldo Donostia. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Donostia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Isaias Beremundo was a little too slow when Basilio Galindo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. After 29 minutes, Arnaldo Donostia made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Los Pibes Fighiera FC's Johnny Acosta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute of the match, Horacio Perfecto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isaias Beremundo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Arnaldo Donostia came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Drakarys FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Donostia couldn't finish the play. In the 37th match minute, Los Pibes Fighiera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Eladio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prospero Bieito in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Acosta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Drakarys FC's Prospero Bieito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Acosta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Horacio Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Donostia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Acosta having to interfere. Prospero Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Donostia to make the kick off. If Jimeno Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Horacio Perfecto fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Pibes Fighiera FC's protests and gave Horacio Perfecto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Horacio Perfecto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Perfecto in the 64th minute of play forced Drakarys FC's goalkeeper Isaias Beremundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Horacio Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Los Pibes Fighiera FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Francisco Austin hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Adan Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drakarys FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adan Lazcano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prospero Bieito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnny Acosta having to make a save. 72 minutes into the game, Prospero Bieito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Johnny Acosta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Johnny Acosta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Bieito in the 77th minute. Johnny Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Donostia in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Horacio Perfecto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Beremundo. Drakarys FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Perfecto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Horacio Perfecto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Isaias Beremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Los Pibes Fighiera FC's Hilario Eladio got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Hilario Eladio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Pibes Fighiera FC's goalkeeper Johnny Acosta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Los Pibes Fighiera FC got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Galindo. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Donostia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johnny Acosta was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Drakarys FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
