After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Francisco Phelipe managed to get in a good position for a shot. DARK PHOENIX FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Phelipe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Aballe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in XLVIII Club de Fútbol's zone, Sebastian Frutos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Aballe came out of the goal and Sebastian Frutos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Braulio Hodei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 played minutes DARK PHOENIX FC got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Rumaldo. 15 minutes into the match, Braulio Hodei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Aballe. XLVIII Club de Fútbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Hodei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Francisco Phelipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mariano Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. XLVIII Club de Fútbol's Mariano Aballe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save XLVIII Club de Fútbol from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes XLVIII Club de Fútbol got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Bibiano. Elpidio Eguzki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mariano Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, XLVIII Club de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Jerico to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Jerico's late challenge caught a DARK PHOENIX FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Jerico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, XLVIII Club de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Jerico to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Eguzki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Mariano Aballe made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Braulio Hodei made the kick off in the second half. A hard, long distance shot from Ceferino Cordairo flew over the goal. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for DARK PHOENIX FC. Clemente Rumaldo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mariano Aballe. 2-0. When Ceferino Cordairo fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DARK PHOENIX FC's protests and gave Ceferino Cordairo a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes DARK PHOENIX FC got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Cordairo. When Braulio Hodei came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the DARK PHOENIX FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Hodei couldn't finish the play. Ceferino Cordairo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damaso Jerico kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ceferino Cordairo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Aballe having to make a save. Braulio Hodei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Aballe having to interfere. Anastasio Bibiano kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. XLVIII Club de Fútbol's Damaso Jerico got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Damaso Jerico off the ground. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for DARK PHOENIX FC. Clemente Rumaldo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mariano Aballe. 3-0. A collision led to DARK PHOENIX FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Elpidio Eguzki hit a great ball. Elpidio Eguzki fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 98th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. DARK PHOENIX FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
