Moises Menendo kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Cristo Valiente came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Tareirí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Valiente couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Fausto Palben got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristo Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, ⚽★ Arena para Gatos ★⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Gregory came free, but Mustafa Orhan Yaltır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Emiliano Urbasa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ⚽★ Arena para Gatos ★⚽'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tareirí FC the free kick. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Emiliano Urbasa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Valiente to make the kick off. Marcos Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Palben in the 51st minute of play. Samuel Erruki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. The Tareirí FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cordeara should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cordeara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Oxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ⚽★ Arena para Gatos ★⚽ had played much better football throughout.
