The supporters of Mártires booed when Centro Social Argentino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graeme Plant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mártires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafino Demesio should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Iratxo got free with Serafino Demesio in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Iratxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Iratxo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serafino Demesio firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Serafino Demesio managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Centro Social Argentino's Teofilo Iratxo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nildo Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Llope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Daniel Llope's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo Palmeira was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Teofilo Iratxo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafino Demesio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Graeme Plant took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Demesio. Serafino Demesio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Teofilo Iratxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Demesio having to interfere. Teofilo Iratxo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafino Demesio having to make a save. In the 64th match minute, Mártires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Lorencio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Iratxo in the 66th minute of play forced Mártires's goalkeeper Serafino Demesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Mártires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Fernendo to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored Mártires's protests and gave Daniel Llope a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mártires's Daniel Llope got a free kick in the 77th minute. Allan Håkansson scored 5-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafino Demesio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
