Anastasio Itzaina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to EL MESIAS II getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Justo Orain hit a great ball. Mariano Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Perez in the 32nd minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Anastasio Itzaina notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Verde de Arroyito's Hector Barea. Hector Barea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jaime Satordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 60th minute, Lino Adrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mariano Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Satordi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mariano Matia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Gualterio Gabirel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL MESIAS II's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verde de Arroyito the free kick. In the 69th match minute, EL MESIAS II was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Gabirel to maneuver through the defense.
