Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ismael Ascencio kicked off to start the match. With his leg Zeledon Peter managed to avoid a goal in the 2ndth minute, when Machagai FC's Braulio Gabino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Concepción's German Sanduru got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Rivas in the 8th minute of play forced Concepción's goalkeeper Zeledon Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Machagai FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Leonel Nuno hit a great ball. Isaac Abeijon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Anastasio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Mede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Nuno kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Arnaldo Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Zeledon Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Mede in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anastasio Aguilera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th match minute, Machagai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Nuno to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes Machagai FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Nuno. After a defensive mix-up in Machagai FC's zone, Ismael Ascencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Aguilera came out of the goal and Ismael Ascencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Concepción's Ricardo Quintun got a free kick in the 35th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Machagai FC's Serafin Olo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 38 played minutes Machagai FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Nuno. If Romeo Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Machagai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Rolado came free, but Anastasio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Mede, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The supporters of Concepción booed when Machagai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Nuno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Rivas to make the kick off. If Romeo Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Concepción's German Sanduru got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 71 minutes, Bernabe Valerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machagai FC and the Concepción players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ismael Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Aguilera having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Concepción's zone, Arnaldo Rivas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Peter came out of the goal and Arnaldo Rivas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Arnaldo Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machagai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Rivas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th match minute, Machagai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Chaime to maneuver through the defense.
