After having played for 13 minutes, Severino Bikendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benamaurel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Bikendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Rio in the 15th minute of play forced Los Resignados de Siempre's goalkeeper Rafael Asur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Steven hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Benamaurel FC's Armando Jokin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Benamaurel FC from getting a goal against them. Benamaurel FC's Claudio Rio got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvestre Obeko kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Claudio Rio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Resignados de Siempre's Rafael Asur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Bikendi in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Julio Sein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Claudio Rio made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Benamaurel FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abel Ihintza was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Resignados de Siempre's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Abel Ihintza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Benamaurel FC's Armando Jokin did a great save. After some careless play in the Benamaurel FC defense, Miguel Silvanito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Jokin. The Benamaurel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Jokin should have stopped the shot. When Julio Sein fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Resignados de Siempre's protests and gave Julio Sein a yellow card for diving instead. Julio Sein kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Claudio Rio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rafael Asur, passed just outside the right post. Munio Bergaño's late challenge caught a Los Resignados de Siempre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Munio Bergaño helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, one of Benamaurel FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Benamaurel FC. Los Resignados de Siempre's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Ihintza in the 78th minute. Artemio Garoa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Abel Ihintza sped through Benamaurel FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armando Jokin. Benamaurel FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Resignados de Siempre had won, even though Benamaurel FC had held more of the ball.
