Bernardino Natal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Leoncio went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bernardino Natal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Leoncio in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, UNIVERSITARIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Ondino to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Angelo Padro managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when A La Carrera FC's Everardo Berto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A La Carrera FC's Bernardino Natal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Leoncio in the 25th minute of play. Bernardino Natal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Lauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Bertos short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Angelo Padro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A La Carrera FC's Israel Garoa got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Everardo Berto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Leoncio made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, A La Carrera FC's goalkeeper Bernardino Natal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nereo Lauro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everardo Berto in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Padro saved UNIVERSITARIO from getting behind. If Aurelio Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Everardo Berto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A La Carrera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Berto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 minutes of play, UNIVERSITARIO's Jose Ondino made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardino Natal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69thth minute of the game Everardo Berto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UNIVERSITARIO's Angelo Padro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Teodosio Fonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A La Carrera FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Angelo Padro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodor Moise went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Everardo Berto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Everardo Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, UNIVERSITARIO's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Berto came free, but Angelo Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Frederico kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Everardo Berto put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Angelo Padro. Everardo Berto might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Padro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Everardo Berto ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 97 minutes, Everardo Berto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A La Carrera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Berto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
