After 8 minutes of play, Ancón's Alejo Dino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Rafel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celedonio Estefan made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Americo Rey sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Txurio during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ancón getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Higinio Txurio hit a great ball. If Washington de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ariel Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Txurio in the 28th minute of the match. Cristo Sergi lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 29th minute, one of Atencio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atencio. 32 minutes into the match, Teo Quinito notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atencio's Ariel Rafel. Ariel Rafel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Americo Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Celedonio Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ancón defense, Rafael Demesio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Estefan. The Ancón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Estefan should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Demesio was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Teo Quinito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ancón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atencio the free kick. After 53 played minutes Ancón got a freekick which was hit by Teo Quinito. In the 55th minute, Humberto Foro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 minutes, Baldomiro Eguzki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atencio and the Ancón players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the match, Alejo Dino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Rafel, 1-3. Celedonio Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Demesio in the 73rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Jorrin during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Atencio getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Aristides Jorrin hit a great ball. The supporters of Ancón booed when Atencio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Jorrin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute of the match Francisco Oton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ariel Rafel skillfully saved the ball. Baldomiro Eguzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 played minutes Atencio got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Jorrin. Ancón's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
