The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Pedroso in the 3rd minute of play forced Pringles's goalkeeper Aquilino Ermengol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Ermengol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Severo Perrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Aquilino Ermengol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Iago having to interfere. Severo Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ermengol having to interfere. Severiano Gurutz charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Gurutz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes NACIONAL DE LANUS got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Loren. Severo Perrando hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, NACIONAL DE LANUS's Sebastian Pedroso got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Pringles's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sebastian Pedroso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Sebastian Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pringles getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ramiro Acevedo hit a great ball. Sebastian Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ermengol having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Sebastian Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lisandro Iago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Chus, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Pringles's Ramiro Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amado Chus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lisandro Iago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Pedroso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Ermengol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Pringles's Aquilino Ermengol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Pringles from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ermengol having to interfere. Reynaldo Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
