EstudiantesdeLaPlata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barracas the free kick. The supporters of Barracas booed when EstudiantesdeLaPlata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Viviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Salbatore made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Rosendo Viviano sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Salbatore was a little too slow when Rosendo Viviano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Victorio Ekain hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Alonzo Salomone didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Barracas's Primitivo Etor shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Etor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Salomone was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Barracas's Virgilio Salbatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Hotz in the 66th minute of play. Primitivo Etor struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alonzo Salomone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barracas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Etor during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72ndth minute of the game Primitivo Etor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EstudiantesdeLaPlata's Alonzo Salomone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Primitivo Etor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Alonzo Salomone made a huge save. Jorge Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Salomone having to interfere. Virgilio Salbatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Peli, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. EstudiantesdeLaPlata's Marcelino Olando got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Lazcano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alonzo Salomone firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Benigno Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Benito Hotz notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Barracas's Virgilio Salbatore. Virgilio Salbatore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. EstudiantesdeLaPlata succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Barracas had controlled the match.
