With a little luck, Deportivo Fortin Gallego's Eloy Sabin got control of the ball when Atilano Oskarbi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Indar during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Furia Roja getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Bernardo Indar hit a great ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Amador Blanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Fortin Gallego's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Blanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Belarmo couldn't finish the play. Eloy Sabin made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Atilano Oskarbi sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Deportivo Fortin Gallego's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Torres came free, but Eloy Sabin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Joseph received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sonny Ekenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Joseph slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Aquilino Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Sabin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes Furia Roja got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Eutor. If Amador Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Lucas Joseph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Fortin Gallego's Eloy Sabin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Bermudez in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Eutor in the 73rd minute of play forced Deportivo Fortin Gallego's goalkeeper Eloy Sabin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Arnas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Fortin Gallego's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Furia Roja the free kick. In the 74th match minute, Deportivo Fortin Gallego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Arnas to maneuver through the defense. Cristinel Dimitriu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eloy Sabin. Eloy Sabin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Bermudez went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Jeremias Eutor made a precise shot to the right of Eloy Sabin. Deportivo Fortin Gallego's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Deportivo Fortin Gallego's Eloy Sabin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Oskarbi in the 91st minute of play. Eloy Sabin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Indar, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Ildefonso Arnas kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Faustino Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Sabin having to interfere.
