Placido Cordario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nunez Florinio in the 5th minute. After 8 played minutes Obanta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Tibalt. After 15 played minutes Aquilino Policarpio rounded Obanta AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Placido Cordario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Policarpio in the 21st minute of the match. Nunez Florinio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Placido Cordario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Papin booed when Obanta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Tibalt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Obanta AFC's Placido Cordario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Policarpio in the 36th minute of play. Nunez Florinio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Placido Cordario made a huge save. Aquilino Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Cordario having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Obanta AFC's goalkeeper Placido Cordario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nunez Florinio. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Rodriguez made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Ismael Cordairo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Obanta AFC and the Papin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Papin booed when Obanta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Rodriguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Cordero's late challenge caught a Papin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Cordero helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Obanta AFC! Placido Cordario came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Papin's Aquilino Policarpio. But to his dismay, Aquilino Policarpio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Obanta AFC's Norberto Rodriguez got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Aquilino Policarpio came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Papin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquilino Policarpio couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Cordairo got free with Raimundo Rio in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nunez Florinio scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Placido Cordario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Placido Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Florinio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Papin were the better team. Papin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
