In the 11th minute Abelardo Chinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Gregory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tafí FC's Abelardo Chinto got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Gelacios short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Aurelio Cordeara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aurelio Cordeara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Gelacio in the 23rd minute. Matias Gelacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tafí FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REAL SPORTING GIJON the free kick. Jarkko Torkkeli kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Saturnino Markel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tafí FC and the REAL SPORTING GIJON players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tafí FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
