With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Baldovino in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Erramu saved Churqui from getting behind. Hickey Kelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Remigio in the 19th minute of the match. Leleque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Churqui the free kick. In the 46th minute, Victorio Quintin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Leleque's Hickey Kelly got control of the ball when Honorato Remigio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Baldovino to strike the kick off in the second half. Hickey Kelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Leleque's zone, Ernesto Demesio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hickey Kelly came out of the goal and Ernesto Demesio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leleque's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
