After some careless play in the Grana defense, Guillermo Etxepare kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Sansone. The Grana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Sansone should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Sansone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Benat in the 16th minute of the match. When Hernan Txatxu came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Abbott AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Txatxu couldn't finish the play. Hernan Txatxu struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Adolfo Sansone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abbott AFC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Txatxu in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Sansone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Guillermo Etxepare came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Abbott AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Etxepare couldn't finish the play. Hernan Txatxu struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. When Abbott AFC's Hernan Txatxu in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grana's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Abbott AFC's Guillermo Etxepare slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Sansone. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernan Txatxu to make the kick off. Adolfo Sansone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Adolfo Sansone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Txatxu's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Constantino Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Sergio Benat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Sansone. Grana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Benat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 72nd match minute, Abbott AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Txatxu to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Txatxu struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Guillermo Etxepare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Adolfo Sansone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Benat struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Adolfo Sansone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abbott AFC. 96 minutes into the match, Grana's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Benat came free, but Adolfo Sansone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Abbott AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
