An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Godfredo Gabrio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arturo Vela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Dalmai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Santana's Godfredo Gabrio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Vela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Arias's Arturo Vela got control of the ball when Godfredo Gabrio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th play minute Godfredo Gabrio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arturo Vela. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfredo Gabrio got free with Arturo Vela in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godfredo Gabrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Godfredo Gabrio made the kick off in the second half. Savas Ziogalas kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Gabrio in the 60th minute of play forced Arias's goalkeeper Arturo Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Arias's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Gabrio came free, but Arturo Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Santana booed when Arias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Firman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Arias's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Gabrio came free, but Arturo Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arias's Astor Delfino got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Hipolito Firman fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arias's protests and gave Hipolito Firman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santana booed when Arias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Firman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Arias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Leobardo to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Vela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Senen in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match, Sergio Dominguez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guaberto Garin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Godfredo Gabrio struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Arturo Vela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santana. When Godfredo Gabrio came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Santana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Gabrio couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Santana had played much better football throughout.
