Patrik Gudmundsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 22nd playminute. 25 minutes into the match, Pupuna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Gudmundsson came free, but Silvestre Cebo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Cebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Gudmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Roano got free with Silvestre Cebo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvestre Cebo made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Patrik Gudmundsson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Gudmundsson in the 32nd minute of play forced Pupuna FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Ourente was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes Pupuna FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Ourente. With a little luck, Pupuna FC's Silvestre Cebo got control of the ball when Patrik Gudmundsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvestre Cebo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Silvestre Cebo was a little too slow when Ermegildo Roano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Cosquín AFC's zone, Froilan Carlomagno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Estefan came out of the goal and Froilan Carlomagno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Froilan Carlomagno to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Cosquín AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Papo. In the 58th minute, Ermegildo Roano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosquín AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 62 minutes into the game, Zacarias Ebardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Silvestre Cebo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pupuna FC's Silvestre Cebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Gudmundsson in the 67th minute of play. Patrik Gudmundsson took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Cebo. Silvestre Cebo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Silvestre Cebo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Ebardo in the 72nd minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Hugo Distiratsu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pupuna FC and the Cosquín AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nestor Estefan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Carlomagno in the 83rd minute. In the 92nd minute Froilan Carlomagno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosquín AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
