Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eleuterio Quexal started the match with the kick off. After 10 minutes, Martin Esdras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez Sarsfield FC and the Maruchas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Esdras hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Eleuterio Quexal sped through Velez Sarsfield FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugenio Ixona. In the 15th minute, Desiderio Soter made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Matia. Maruchas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Igor Saturnin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Ixona having to make a save. 19 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Quexal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugenio Ixona. Eleuterio Quexal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 33rd match minute, Velez Sarsfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Rayman to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Martin Esdras hit a great ball. When Eleuterio Quexal came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Maruchas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Quexal couldn't finish the play. Igor Saturnin might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Ixona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Saturnin ran back to his position shaking his head. Maruchas's Eleuterio Quexal got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro Sarracino to make the kick off. Eugenio Ixona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Natanael, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Maruchas were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Velez Sarsfield FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Saturnin took the corner. Igor Saturnin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Ixona having to interfere. Igor Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleuterio Quexal might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Ixona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eleuterio Quexal ran back to his position shaking his head. Velez Sarsfield FC's Eugenio Ixona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Quexal in the 62nd minute of play. Maximiliano Tancredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Quexal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Tancredo in the 71st minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield FC's goalkeeper Eugenio Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Quexal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Velez Sarsfield FC's Eugenio Ixona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Quexal in the 74th minute of play. Igor Saturnin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eugenio Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Ixona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eleuterio Quexal's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Igor Saturnin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Ixona having to interfere. When Desiderio Soter fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Velez Sarsfield FC's protests and gave Desiderio Soter a yellow card for diving instead. If Maximiliano Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eleuterio Quexal in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Ixona saved Velez Sarsfield FC from getting behind. Igor Saturnin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eugenio Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Maruchas were the better team. Maruchas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
