The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Bonifacio Maurin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pericote AFC's zone, Clodoveo Darien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Orzaize came out of the goal and Clodoveo Darien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Pericote AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Sasoin came free, but Arnulfo Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Pericote AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Paio came free, but Arnulfo Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Pericote AFC defense, Placido Paio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Orzaize. The Pericote AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Orzaize should have stopped the shot. Tilisarao's Anastasio Odon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Tilisarao from getting a goal against them. Tilisarao's Anastasio Odon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Dino in the 20th minute of play. The nice shot from Fabricio Llorenc in the 21stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Anastasio Odon had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Placido Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Arnulfo Orzaize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Sasoin scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Orzaize, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Pericote AFC's zone, Godfredo Sasoin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Orzaize came out of the goal and Godfredo Sasoin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnulfo Orzaize stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Paio's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Placido Paio made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Pericote AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Flavio Bidun hit a great ball. Godfredo Sasoin struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Arnulfo Orzaize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tilisarao. Arnulfo Orzaize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Paio in the 61st minute of the match. Arnulfo Orzaize made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Placido Paio sent off a good shot on target. Arnulfo Orzaize was a little too slow when Placido Paio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. With a little luck, Pericote AFC's Arnulfo Orzaize got control of the ball when Godfredo Sasoin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Placido Paio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Arnulfo Orzaize skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Clodoveo Darien kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnulfo Orzaize. That made the score 0-5 in the 70 minute of play. In the 74th minute Siro Leizarraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Pericote AFC's Fabricio Llorenc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Odon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Placido Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atilano Tuste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Orzaize read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Godfredo Sasoin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tilisarao's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
