If Gilberto Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of RIVER PLATE booed when Argenteam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Indartsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, RIVER PLATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Inko to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Vennerström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Gustavo Inko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 minutes, Gualterio Txema mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argenteam and the RIVER PLATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Estevez. Silvestre Lapurdi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Vennerström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE's Gustavo Inko got a free kick in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Argenteam's Clemente Indartsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökberk Askeroğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute Clemente Indartsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökberk Askeroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the RIVER PLATE defense, Gualterio Txema kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gökberk Askeroğlu. The RIVER PLATE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gökberk Askeroğlu should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the game, RIVER PLATE's Alonzo Quinton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lino Chano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lino Chano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Vimaro in the 64th minute. Argenteam's Lino Chano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Argenteam from getting a goal against them. Gökberk Askeroğlu came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Argenteam's Jonathan Vennerström. But to his dismay, Jonathan Vennerström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Argenteam's Everardo Txartiko was substituted for Benedicto Saturnin. Lino Chano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Quinton in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Clemente Indartsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argenteam made a substitution. Godofredo Remigio replaced Paulo Gaufred. In the 81st match minute, Argenteam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Quinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lino Chano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Angelino Janpier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Inko during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Argenteam booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Inko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gualterio Txema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argenteam's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Txema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökberk Askeroğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 played minutes Argenteam got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Gaskon. The long shot by Gilberto Vimaro in the 96th minute really tested Lino Chano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The RIVER PLATE players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Argenteam from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
