A collision led to Deportivo Taragüí getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bartolo Birjaio hit a great ball. Dalmacio Turi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Veto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Rafael Toro made a precise shot to the right of Dalmacio Turi. Deportivo Taragüí's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Toro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmacio Turi saved Deportivo Taragüí from getting behind. Amadeo Veto struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dalmacio Turi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alijilán. Amadeo Veto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dalmacio Turi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Clodio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Everardo Thomas in the 29th minute. Maximiliano Clodio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play, Deportivo Taragüí's Everardo Thomas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Clodio was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Amadeo Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alijilán's Rafael Toro got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Niceto Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 minutes, Conrado Lucian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alijilán and the Deportivo Taragüí players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Alijilán got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Lucian. Everardo Thomas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Clodio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Alijilán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Mercurio to maneuver through the defense. If Niceto Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Bartolo Birjaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Taragüí and the Alijilán players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bartolo Birjaio hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Rafael Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
