With a couple of smart ball manuevers Battal Seyyit Ongunsu in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Calisto saved Olimpiakos from getting behind. Bernardino Guillelmus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Angelo Calisto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorio Cordareo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 18 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Angelo Calisto right hand side. In the 20th minute Battal Seyyit Ongunsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Calisto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fanis Maropoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Fausto Orain charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Orain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Orain. In the 27th minute, 林辰棋 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Jurdan. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of Olimpiakos booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alketas Kogas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Olimpiakos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Dalgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Cristobal Naldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardino Guillelmus in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Calisto saved Olimpiakos from getting behind. Angelo Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Battal Seyyit Ongunsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Battal Seyyit Ongunsu to make the kick off. After taking down the ball on Club Atletico River Plate's corner Honorio Cordareo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angelo Calisto quite easily take care of the ball. Okan Eryiğit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpiakos's Angelo Calisto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpiakos from getting a goal against them. 林辰棋 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Jurdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 林辰棋 in the 65th minute of play. Nemesio Hats's late challenge caught a Club Atletico River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Hats helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Nemesio Hats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74thth minute of the game 林辰棋 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico River Plate's Fernando Jurdan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Battal Seyyit Ongunsu in the 77th minute of play forced Olimpiakos's goalkeeper Angelo Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atletico River Plate were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Olimpiakos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Honorio Cordareo took the corner. Club Atletico River Plate's Clemente Colas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Calisto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 林辰棋 in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Jurdan saved Club Atletico River Plate from getting behind. The audience was convinced that 林辰棋's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Jurdan was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Olimpiakos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
