Honorio Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Jurdan having to interfere. Eloy Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Jurdan having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Honorio Luix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Luix was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Honorio Luix managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.HUMBOLDT's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Luix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Jurdan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 minutes, Okan Eryiğit mouthed his way into the referee's book. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Luix couldn't finish the play.
