The Rompepelotas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Salvador Txartiko notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Sporting de Río Cuarto's Benjamin Aurre. Benjamin Aurre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC Sporting de Río Cuarto's Arthur Aron got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes FC Sporting de Río Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Aron. If Salvador Txartiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Trifon Tsouloufas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Maiorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Benjamin Aurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Aurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Txartiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Eduardo Maiorga struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Benjamin Aurre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rompepelotas. Salvador Txartiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Aurre having to interfere. Nicasio Loreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Aurre having to interfere. If Eduardo Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Sporting de Río Cuarto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rompepelotas were winning 0-2.

Benjamin Aurre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicasio Loreto in the 55th minute. Nicasio Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Benjamin Aurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Salvador Txartiko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Eloy Nuxila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trifon Tsouloufas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The long shot by Osvaldo Dino in the 73rd minute really tested Benjamin Aurre's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rompepelotas's Eduardo Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trifon Tsouloufas in the 75th minute of play. When FC Sporting de Río Cuarto's Trifon Tsouloufas in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eduardo Maiorga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, FC Sporting de Río Cuarto's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eduardo Maiorga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FC Sporting de Río Cuarto's Benjamin Aurre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Sporting de Río Cuarto from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Txartiko in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Aurre saved FC Sporting de Río Cuarto from getting behind.
