Lucinda FC's Guido Bernebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Laurgain in the 29th minute of play. After 32 minutes, Albano Polentzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ve Ocho and the Lucinda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Albano Polentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Stanislao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Guido Bernebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Mitxel kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Haroldo Stanislao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ve Ocho's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Stanislao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guido Bernebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Bernebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Ulizes in the 41st minute of play. Ve Ocho's Haroldo Stanislao got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Albano Polentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guido Bernebe was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Guido Bernebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Stanislao in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Haroldo Stanislao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Haroldo Stanislao took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Guido Bernebe to make any attempt to save it. Silvio Bladi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Mon in the 56th minute of play. Anier Sayvion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvio Bladi having to make a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Osvaldo Mitxel put in a rough tackle. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ve Ocho! In the 69th minute of the game Fermin Dodorol made a throw-in which Anier Sayvion played forward. After a defensive mix-up in Lucinda FC's zone, Albano Polentzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Bernebe came out of the goal and Albano Polentzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ve Ocho made a substitution. Siro Sancho replaced Haroldo Stanislao. Lucinda FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Felipillo in the 81st minute. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Felipillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Silvio Bladi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guido Bernebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Ulizes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Gorbea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guido Bernebe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lucinda FC's zone, Flavio Ulizes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Bernebe came out of the goal and Flavio Ulizes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute Anier Sayvion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Bladi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Ve Ocho's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Sayvion came free, but Silvio Bladi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lucinda FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Andres Lehen hit a great ball. Ve Ocho's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
