The Villanueva FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Celso Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ewald Flachsbarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Tabb came free, but Tiburcio Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Victoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Buenos Aires FC defense, Prospero Tabb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Alonso. The Buenos Aires FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Alonso should have stopped the shot. Buenos Aires FC's Tiburcio Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Tabb in the 20th minute of play. Villanueva FC's Celso Rudolfo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Villanueva FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Villanueva FC booed when Buenos Aires FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Buenos Aires FC's Gaston Lixandro got a free kick in the 27th minute. Buenos Aires FC's Tiburcio Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Tabb in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Buenos Aires FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Raul Venceslao hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Eusebio Lixandro in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Buenos Aires FC's Felipe Ceandro. Tiburcio Alonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Montel, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute Justo Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tiburcio Alonso made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Rodrigo Tadzio sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute of the match, David Montel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiburcio Alonso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 85 minutes into the match, Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Tabb came free, but Tiburcio Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
